ITI Academy Week 2026
The ITI Academy Week will take place during THEATER DER WELT from 21 to 28 June 2026 in Chemnitz and Berlin.
12 fellows were selected to the second ITI Academy Week, which will be part of the festival THEATER DER WELT in Chemnitz.
During the week, the fellows will attend performances and events at THEATER DER WELT, exchange on their practice and work alongside artists from the ITI Academy LAB, who will guide the week as mentors. The programme will invite the fellows to reflect on topics such as artistic freedom and censorship, practices of collective care, fair collaboration and decolonisation. They will negotiate questions of coexistence and relating to one another within collectives and across cultural boundaries. Understanding different perspectives, aesthetics and working methods plays a central role in this.
