The International Theatre Institute invites translators of German-language drama to a workshop in the period from May 20 - 29, 2022.
The focus is on the concrete work of the translators on selected texts and the joint visit of the performances of the festival. The program will be supplemented by public audience discussions after the performances and also conversations with authors, dramaturges, publishers or directors, as well as a two-day seminar focus on writing and theater practice with the Czech author, playwright and translator Radka Denemarková.
The invitation to apply is addressed to professional drama translators worldwide who translate from German into their respective mother tongues and maintain close working relationships with the theaters in their countries.
