On October 7, 2021, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., the virtual kick-off event of the DFG project "Digitally Networking Mediatheques of the Performing Arts" will take place.
The first day of a two-day expert meeting, designed as a public launch, will be devoted to four thematic blocks on central issues and goals of the Mediatheken project, which aims to digitally consolidate and make freely accessible across institutions metadata on audiovisual (AV) holdings of the performing arts. During the event, experts will address current legal issues in the handling of AV media in the performing arts, provide insight into the work with AV resources and standards data in libraries, and deal in depth with the preservation and networking of AV collections and media archives in the artistic and university context.
