When pixels come to an end

From December 19. - 30. we bid farewell and invite reflection: How do we create digital archives that enable us to look to a future beyond ephemeral hardware?

Since 2019, Nico and the Navigators and Yui Kawaguchi have called into existence fragile yet timeless worlds of symbiosis between dance, movement and digital projections. But soon, on 01.01.2025, these realities come to an abrupt end: the hardware used to enter them (Magicleap 1 glasses) falls silent as the security servers in the USA are switched off. What remains are traces that carry the work into the future, a digital afterglow that is present but no longer visible.

In a two-week installation, we bid farewell and invite reflection: How do we create digital archives that enable us to look to a future beyond ephemeral hardware? The space between man and machine becomes a mirror of our own transience. Join us in the swan song for something that has only just begun!
