German-French Workshop Physical Theatre

Vacancies!

Oct. 24th till Nov. 4th in STUDIO2/ ITI Germany in Berlin.

Actors who would like to deepen their skills in the field of movement theatre have the extraordinary opportunity to get to know specialists from different schools of European movement theatre and thus directly compare themselves with Mime according to Marcel Marceau, "Mime Corporel" according to Etienne Decroux, Biomechanics according to Meyerhold and other contemporary formats.
What characterises the different approaches? Where are the points of contact? Who influenced whom? Where can new connections be created? And above all: What do they mean for concrete practice on stage today?
The workshop, which will take place in Studio2 of the International Theatre Institute, will mainly consist of practical exercises and will be deepened by videos and discussions. The media library for dance and theatre of the International Theatre Institute - Centre Germany is available as a source of information. At the end of the workshop, the results of the week will be presented in a public showcase.
This workshop is aimed at young artists in the performing arts: professionals (up to 35 years old) or in training (up to 30 years old), from France and Germany. It will be held in German and French.
The workshop is a co-operation between the ITI Germany and the Platform for Franco-German Art (Plateforme).
