As a continuation of its exploration of digital methods in archival practice, the cooperation project ITI ♥ MOTION BANK has been developed and implemented by the International Theatre Institute Germany in collaboration with the Motion Bank team of Mainz University of Applied Sciences. ITI ♥ MOTION BANK had a twofold aim: to explore how a video annotation tool can be of use to dance artists in their creative work, and how it can be put into practice in the archival (data) environment as well.

The outcomes of this project are now available in a newly published evaluation text, offering insights into different applications of digital annotation in dance. The text has been published on two different platforms so far:

They are currently only availbale in English.

The project was funded by the Federal Minister of Culture and Media as part of “Kulturerbe Tanz”. It is carried by the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
