As spokesperson for the selection committee of the 49th Mülheimer Theatertage (May 4-25, 2024), theater critic Franz Wille will be a guest at the international workshop “Theater übersetzen”.
This year, translators from China, France, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Slovenia and Spain will be at the Mülheim Theatre Days to discuss the festival's texts and trends in dramatic writing in the German-speaking world.
The discussion will focus on the spectrum of the Mülheim selection, current themes and forms of writing, the selection criteria and the selection process.
Translators from German and interested theater professionals are invited. The working language is German and the discussions will be moderated by the seminar leader and translator Barbara Christ.
