ITI Academy Week 2026
For the ITI Academy Week during THEATER DER WELT artists and theatre professionals from around the world will gather to share strategies of resilience and resistance.
12 fellows were selected for the second ITI Academy Week from 22 to 28 June 2026.
During the week, the fellows will attend performances and events at THEATER DER WELT, exchange on their practice and work alongside artists from the ITI Academy LAB, who will guide the week as mentors.
The programme will invite the fellows to reflect on topics such as artistic freedom and censorship, practices of collective care, fair collaboration and decolonisation. They will negotiate questions of coexistence and relating to one another within collectives and across cultural boundaries. Understanding different perspectives, aesthetics and working methods plays a central role in this.
